Run by Volunteers, using facilities provided by South West Composting Ltd

We aim to:
·                  provide a local green waste recycling resource for Brixton

·                  divert green waste from landfill and re-claim credits from South Hams District Council

·                  to use the money to support environmental initiatives in the local community
·                  provide free compost to those who contribute green waste to the scheme.

History

"Brixton Composters" is an initiative which was first proposed by Steven Cane of South West Composting Ltd, supported by the Parish Council, and now run by volunteers from the local community.  Green waste collected from Brixton residents earns us recycling credits (money!) from South Hams District Council and we use it to support environmental initiatives in the Community.
